On a radiant day under clear skies, Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) staff and partners came together for an our annual Charity Golf Day. The day combined enjoyment and a purpose, raising funds and awareness for Canteen's vital work supporting rangatahi affected by cancer.
As participants teed off on the lush fairways and greens, the friendly competition was matched by laughter and camaraderie, with teams celebrating every good shot and making the day as much about connection as it was about sport.
Scattered throughout the course were different activations such as the Longest Drive competition and a Hole-in-One challenge. These activities, combined with the bandannas purchases and generous donations, the event raised over $8,000 for Canteen. We extend a massive thank you to all participants and donors for their generous contributions.

As the day’s activities came to an end, participants gathered for a moment of reflection and gratitude. Canteen CEO Nick Laing, addressed the gathering, emphasising what this day means to Canteen and expressing his appreciation for the support. He then announced the winners of the raffle, which was full of prizes generously gifted by long-term Canteen supporters Sabato and Park Hyatt.
As the tournament wrapped up, participants didn’t just leave with memories of a fun-filled day - they walked away knowing they had made a real difference in the lives of rangatahi impacted by cancer. Their generosity and involvement extended well beyond the course, providing vital support and resources for Canteen's ongoing mission to help rangatahi.
The success of the event was made possible by the generous support of partners like Barfoot & Thompson, CodeBlue, BetterCo, Sabato, and Park Hyatt, whose contributions helped bring this impactful day to life. Canteen extends heartfelt gratitude to the Bank of New Zealand team and all participating partners whose generosity and enthusiasm made the Charity Golf Day an exceptional success.
