CanSurf, our annual weekend surfing camp, organised by the amazing CanSurf team at Waihi Beach, continues to be a highlight for many rangatahi facing the challenges of cancer. This event, combining sun, surf, and community, offers a valuable opportunity to build connections, resilience, and strength.
Learning to Surf
Skilled instructors teach rangatahi how to ride the waves, promoting physical activity and the development of new skills. Complementing the excitement of surfing, yoga sessions provide moments of mindfulness and support mental wellbeing. The camp experience extends beyond the beach, with hands-on fire station training, encouraging a sense of adventure and empowerment.
