After over a decade at 27 Riddiford Street in Newtown, Wellington, the Canteen Central Hub whānau is moving on from a space that has meant a great deal to us.

For over ten years, this office has been more than just a building. It has been a place of connection, care, and community. Within these walls, rangatahi impacted by cancer have shared their stories, found support, built friendships, and taken important steps forward during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Our staff and volunteers have also grown here, learning alongside rangatahi and supporting one another through many seasons.

As we say goodbye to this chapter, we want to reassure our community that Canteen South Hub services will continue without interruption. While we work to secure a new physical location, all services will be delivered online. Rangatahi can continue to connect with our team in the same way, and the support we provide remains unchanged.

Although we are sad to leave a space that holds so many memories, we are also looking ahead with optimism. This move gives us the opportunity to find a new home that continues to reflect who we are and how we support rangatahi across the Central Hub region.

We’ll be sharing updates as they become available and will let our community know as soon as a new location has been confirmed.
